Refund and Returns Policy

At Three Rivers Vintage, we are committed to a transparent and fair shopping experience. Because we specialize in authentic, hand-curated vintage clothing and accessories — each piece one-of-a-kind and carefully prepared before it reaches you — please read this policy carefully before placing your order. This policy applies to all purchases made through our website and in-store at 112 S. Broad Street, Grove City, PA 16127.

1. Order Cancellation

We begin processing orders quickly so your items ship without delay. Please review the cancellation terms below before completing your purchase.

  • Cancellation Window: You may cancel your order free of charge within 24 hours of placing it, provided it has not yet been shipped.
  • How to Cancel: Contact us immediately at support@threeriversvintage.com or call +1 (724) 264-4138 with your order number and the subject line “Order Cancellation.”
  • After 24 Hours: Once the 24-hour window has passed or your order has been shipped, cancellation is no longer possible. You will need to follow our standard return process after receiving the item.

2. Returns & Eligibility

We accept returns on eligible items. Because every piece in our collection is vintage and one-of-a-kind, we ask that you read all product descriptions, measurements, and condition notes carefully before purchasing.

Return Window: Return requests must be initiated within 14 calendar days of the delivery date (for online orders) or the date of purchase (for in-store purchases).

Eligible Reasons for Return

  • Incorrect Item Received: You received a different product than what was ordered.
  • Sizing Error on Our Part: The item received does not match the measurements listed in the product description.
  • Undisclosed Damage: The item has visible damage, significant wear, or condition issues that were not described or photographed on the product page.
  • General Returns (Change of Mind): We accept returns for unworn, unwashed items in their original condition within the 14-day window. Please note that the customer is responsible for return shipping costs in this case.

Note on Vintage Items: Minor signs of age — such as slight fading, small imperfections in fabric, or natural patina — are inherent to authentic vintage garments and are not considered defects. These characteristics are always disclosed in our product descriptions and photos. We encourage you to read all listings carefully and contact us with any questions before purchasing.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, all items must meet the following conditions at the time they are received back at our store:

Return AuthorizationReturns must be pre-authorized by our team. Do not ship items back without first contacting us and receiving a Return Authorization (RA) number.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Jewelry and hair accessories (for hygiene reasons)
  • Items that have been worn, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery
  • Items returned without prior authorization or outside the 14-day return window
  • Items marked as “Final Sale” on the product page

3. How to Initiate a Return

Please follow these steps to start a return:

  1. Contact Us First: Email support@threeriversvintage.com or call +1 (724) 264-4138 within 14 days of delivery. Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
  2. Receive Authorization: Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days with a Return Authorization (RA) number and return instructions.
  3. Ship the Item: Pack the item securely and include your RA number and proof of purchase inside the package. Ship to the address below. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
  4. Await Inspection & Refund: Once we receive your return, we will inspect the item within 1–5 business days and notify you of the outcome by email.

4. Return Shipping Costs

Who pays for return shipping depends on the reason for the return:

  • Our Error (Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Item): Three Rivers Vintage will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. We cover all return shipping costs for confirmed errors on our part.
  • Customer-Initiated Returns (Change of Mind, Fit, etc.): The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable, insured shipping service. Three Rivers Vintage is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

5. Refund Processing

Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will process your refund as follows:

  • Inspection Period: Please allow 1–5 business days after we receive your return for inspection and processing.
  • Notification: You will receive an email confirming whether your return has been approved or rejected, along with the reason.
  • Refund Method: Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. For in-store cash purchases, store credit or an alternative electronic payment will be arranged.
  • Refund Timeline: After we issue the refund, please allow an additional 3–7 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer. This processing time is outside our control.
  • Partial Refunds: In cases where an item is returned in a condition that does not fully meet our return requirements (e.g., missing tags, minor wear), we reserve the right to issue a partial refund at our discretion.

6. Exchanges

Because every item in our collection is one-of-a-kind vintage, we are unable to offer traditional size or style exchanges — once a piece is sold, it is gone. If you need a different size or item, we recommend returning the original item for a refund (subject to our return policy) and placing a new order.

In the event of a confirmed manufacturer defect or our shipping error, we will:

  1. Ship a replacement item at no cost to you, if an equivalent item is available.
  2. If no equivalent item is available, issue a full refund to your original payment method.
